New agency: Knowledge Centre for Disability and Social Psychiatry
From 1 January 2011, the coordinated
national effort to collect and disseminate knowledge within the field of
disability is handled by a new agency, the Knowledge Centre for
Disability and Social Psychiatry under the Danish Ministry of Social
Affairs.
As a consequence of the establishment of the new Knowledge Centre for Disability and Social Psychiatry, the Visual Impairment Knowledge Centre has closed down. The staff and directors of the existing knowledge centres have been offered employment in the new knowledge centre.
Ongoing projects in the formerly Visual Impairment Knowledge Centre will be completed or have been dismantled before the end of 2010. Planned or prospective projects have been scrapped or may be addressed anew once the new structure is in place. Information about the internal organization of the new knowledge centre and its tasks and job functions will follow shortly on this site.
